The word ‘jamdani’ is believed to be of Persian origin, derived from 'Jam' (meaning flower) and 'Dani' (meaning vase). Over the last few decades, the art of jamdani weaving has witnessed a revival due to support from the governments and non-government organizations in both India and Bangladesh. Jamdani was originally known as Dhakai named after the city of Dhaka.

This magenta pink jamdani with Zari flowers is quite the showstopper. This kind of jamdani  saree is called "Phagun Bou Jamdani" The saree is most suitable for informal day or night time events. And will look rather chic but in a playful way when styled with white beaded/Pearl jewelry. Best draped tightly. The blouse and petticoat worn by the model are not included. This Saree is without a blouse piece.

Care instructions: The saree is made using natural dyes and extracts. Variations in weave texture, colours and print may occur in hand-made products. Irrespective of fabric type, we would recommend that you dry clean only.
